FAQ

How can we start contributing?

We can start by talking to our close friends and family and discussing what can and should be done to take back Iraq for the people. There must be a common bond that unites the good people in Iraq. That bond is security and basic rights regardless of sectarian, ethnic or religious lines. This starts by finding and uniting those who believe in these ideals. If we stay silent who will know that there neighbors have the same ideas and are willing to fight. We will be picked off one by one and bullied until the will to fight vanishes and we change our beliefs because of our fear. First step find your friends.

Who is the Lion?
The Lion represents the combined strength good people of Iraq.

Why should I care?
All people who believe in reason, free thought and justice should care about what is happening in Iraq.  Allowing the extremists and thugs to take over and control Iraq and its people through terrorism is a blow to civilization and will only have repercussion to everyone around the world. Its failure or success will be a beacon for one side, destruction or the other of thought and reason. Doing nothing in the face of the evil acts committed speaks to the character of your person.

Who is to blame?

-Many have contributed to the current situation. Below is a time line break down of what has happened so far in the conflict. Place the blame where you will but in order for positive change there must be reconciliation.

-Saddam refused U.N. inspections

-The U.S. was tricked or believed Saddam to have WMDs

-The U.S. invaded and destroyed the government of Iraq

-U.S. does not have enough troops to control Iraq

-Anarchy ensues destroying more government infrastructure allowing criminals and extremists to flourish. Allows   Mahdi army to form and fill power gap by classic organized crime and thugery

-Iran begins using former resistance groups and newly formed ones to fill power vacuum exerting large influence on Southern part of Iraq

-Al-Qaeda and bathasits attack many Shiite targets strengthening sectarian feelings between the groups.

-Shiite groups begin retaliating, not hitting specific attackers thus creating more sectarian hatred.

-Elections are held prematurely, Sectarian leaders are chosen Badr(SCIRI/Iran) take many important ministry’s.

-Elected officials are corrupt and manipulated by Iran and militias. Sectarian violence continues its growth.

-Services continue decline.
-U.S. surges troops cuts down on rate of decline, Arms Anbar tribes who are fed up with extremists killing there people, Anbar becomes better.

-Government continues to support Shiite militias Sunnis are being pushed out of Baghdad.

-U.S. continues to support Maliki government despite blatant sectarianism

-Sistani makes statement that he is not happy with current government

-U.S. makes small token gesture that they may back away from Iraqi government but says still supports Maliki

-Most  Iraqi people hate current Maliki government but cant do anything about it, hope U.S. has plan to replace it. Many Iraqis are afraid of speaking because of retaliation by militias/gangs.

-U.S. doesn’t feel it has enough to fight two wars one in the South against Mahdi Army/Badr Corp and the other in the Northern half against Al-Qeada. The U.S. doesn’t attack Mahdi army and Badr corp on a large scale this does little to contain growing influence by Mahdi army and Iranian backed Badr Corp.

-Mahdi army and gangs control most gas stations in Baghdad and rent out captured housing to people. They begin taking over whole sale food markets.

-Presumably the U.S. plans on strengthening Anbar and crushing Al-Qaeda then moving onto Mahdi army and the Iranian influence. Secretly hoping the Iraqi government changes itself but knowing there is little chance.

-The U.S. is afraid to try to overtly in changing the Iraq government for fear of being called anti-democratic. The Iranians don’t care what anyone says and continue to influence the government and officials via money, favors or by threat.
